Clermont Power Washing is the exterior cleaning service of Golden Lawn Care, a Lake County company based in Eustis. We wash driveways and walks, house walls, roofs, pool decks, pavers, fences and screen enclosures for homeowners across Clermont, from the hills around downtown and the chain of lakes to the newer communities off US 27.

Central Florida is hard on exterior surfaces. Heat, humidity and summer rain grow black mildew on north-facing walls, green film on shaded concrete and dark algae streaks down shingle roofs. Irrigation that sprays the house leaves orange rust lines. Left alone, that growth stains, gets slippery and, on a roof, holds moisture against the shingles.

The fix is not more pressure. Each surface gets the method that cleans it without damage: a rotary surface cleaner on concrete, a low-pressure soft wash with a cleaning solution on stucco, siding and roofs, and gentle rinsing around screens, plants and lanai furniture.

Soft washing vs pressure washing in Clermont

"Pressure washing" and "power washing" get used for the same thing, and the price searches for both land on the same companies. The difference that matters is how hard the water hits the surface.

  • Pressure washing uses high-pressure water, usually through a rotary surface cleaner, to strip dirt, mildew and grime from hard surfaces like concrete driveways, sidewalks and pool decks.
  • Soft washing uses low pressure and a cleaning solution that kills mildew and algae at the root, then rinses it away. It is the right method for stucco, painted walls, vinyl siding, screens and roofs, where high pressure can etch, strip paint, force water behind siding or knock granules off shingles.

For roofs, this is not a matter of taste: the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association discourages pressure washers on shingles and recommends a gentle cleaning solution and a low-pressure rinse. That is the only way we clean roofs. See roof soft washing in Clermont for how it works.

Clermont pressure washing and the 2026 water shortage order

This is the part most Clermont homeowners have not heard about, and it changes what can be booked right now.

Clermont sits inside the St. Johns River Water Management District, and while the St. Johns River Water Management District's Phase III water shortage order (order 2026-017) is in effect, pressure or soft washing driveways, sidewalks and other hard surfaces is allowed for necessary maintenance: removing mold, mildew and other potentially hazardous material that can't be cleared with a broom or blower, keeping up a warranty, or cleaning a surface before painting or sealing. The order says plainly that meeting HOA or other appearance standards does not count as necessary maintenance. Read it yourself in the district's order.

While the St. Johns River Water Management District's Phase III water shortage order (order 2026-017) is in effect in Clermont, pressure or soft washing a building or other structure is allowed in preparation for painting or sealing, or as a construction practice. A wash ahead of a repaint, a coating or a stain qualifies; a purely cosmetic wash does not. We tell you up front which side of that line your job falls on, and if it can't be done yet, we can schedule it for when the order is lifted. The full text is in the district's order.

In practice, Clermont's most common washing jobs fit inside the order: mildew and algae on a driveway or pool deck are exactly the kind of growth it allows to be removed, and a wash before a repaint, a paver seal or a fence stain is allowed as prep. A purely cosmetic house wash to satisfy an HOA letter has to wait. We will always tell you which side of that line your job is on before we book it.

Driveway and pool deck cleaning in Clermont

Concrete in Clermont takes a beating. Shade from oaks and the house keeps parts of the driveway damp, mildew turns them black, and the slope of many Clermont driveways means runoff from the yard tracks dirt and fertilizer stains down the middle. A surface cleaner lifts that growth evenly, without the stripes a wand leaves, and a post-treatment slows its return. Our page on driveway cleaning in Clermont covers rust and oil stains too.

Pool decks and paver patios get slick when algae takes hold, and that is a safety problem around water. Pool deck and paver cleaning removes it, and pavers can be re-sanded and sealed after cleaning so the joints hold and the color stays.

House, roof and fence washing in Clermont

Stucco and siding on Clermont homes collect mildew on the north and shaded sides first, then dirt and spider webs under the soffits and rust from sprinkler overspray low on the walls. House soft washing cleans all of it with low pressure, so paint and stucco texture are not damaged, and it is the standard prep before a repaint.

Wood and vinyl fences turn green and gray in the shade, and screen enclosures collect dirt and mildew on the frame and screens. Fence and screen enclosure cleaning is done gently so screens don't blow out and stain or paint has a clean surface to grab.

Before any wash, we pre-wet and rinse your plants and turf, cover what needs covering and rinse again after.

Pressure washing for Clermont HOAs and hillside homes

Many Clermont neighborhoods, including Kings Ridge, Summit Greens, Hartwood Reserve and the communities along the chain of lakes, have HOA standards for driveways and exteriors. A violation letter about mildew on the driveway is one of the most common reasons people search for a washing company here. While the water order stands, the order does not treat an HOA appearance letter as a reason to wash on its own; mildew removal is. We price and schedule it as what it is: removing mildew and algae.

Clermont is also one of the hilliest places in Florida. Sugarloaf Mountain, just north of the city, is the highest point on the peninsula, and many lots slope hard toward the street. Wash water follows that slope, so we plan where it goes, keep cleaning solution away from beds and lawns and rinse surfaces and plants thoroughly when we finish.

Clermont pressure washing questions

How much does pressure washing cost in Clermont?
It depends on the surfaces, their size and condition, and whether you want sealing or a post-treatment. A driveway, a full house and a tile roof are very different jobs. Send your address and the surfaces through the form, or call for today's price.
Is pressure washing allowed during the water restrictions?
Partly. Under the district's Phase III order, hard surfaces can be washed to remove mold and mildew, maintain a warranty or prep for painting or sealing, and buildings can be washed as prep for painting or sealing. Cosmetic washing and HOA-appearance washing on their own are not allowed while the order stands.
Pressure washing vs power washing: is there a difference?
In everyday use the terms mean the same thing: cleaning with pressurized water. The useful distinction is pressure washing versus soft washing. Hard surfaces like concrete take pressure; roofs, stucco, siding and screens need low-pressure soft washing so they are not damaged.
Will the cleaning solution hurt my plants?
Soft-wash solutions are strong enough to kill mildew, so plants get protected: we pre-wet beds and turf, cover delicate plants where needed and rinse everything thoroughly after the wash.
Do I need to be home?
Not usually. We need access to the areas being washed, usually an outdoor water spigot, and gates unlocked. We will confirm the details before the visit.
